Stripes on stripes

I've seen variations of this manicure several time and I always find it so cute so I had to try it out. It would really work with any color polishes and any striping pattern that you wanted. So fun!

Starry nights.

I received an order of nail art - stars, words, butterflies... everything you can think of! - and wanted to use some of it. I decided on a black French manicure with stars.

Since I like an accent nail, I used some striping tape to add stripes to my ring fingers. The tape was pink and it bled through onto my nail after I used the black polish. I still liked the manicure, though.

Purple and gold half moon.

I grabbed Orly Luxe from Sally's the other day because I've been looking for a good gold polish. I love it! It's got great coverage and shine and is perfect for using with the Konad.

I wanted to use it in a manicure so I decided I on a half moon with stripes.

I liked the outcome but I really wanted a little extra. So I added a few purple rhinestones.

Overall, it was a fun manicure and I was excited to use some of my nail art I'd ordered from eBay. I have another manicure with rhinestones and some Konads coming up. Also, went to Ulta this weekend and received an order from Sephora which equals lots of new manicures!

Nicole holiday polish

I did my next manicure with the Nicole Brrr Brrr Burgundy. This is such a pretty red polish. I took a picture with and without flash so you can really see the color.

I had been experimenting for a friend who wanted a manicure to do on her daughter and came up with something that reminded me of a gift.

The black stripes look to me like ribbon on a box. I will probably do another version of this with gold or silver when it's closer to Christmas.

Stripes!

I wanted a quick and easy manicure to wear for a couple days. I started with OPI Blue My Mind (still my favorite blue so far!) and then free handed some white diagonal stripes. Topped with some Seche Vite and off I went!

Arizona sunset

The sunsets here in AZ are gorgeous. Almost every single night the sky is filled with reds, pinks, yellows and oranges. I love it. I still miss the sunset over the ocean, of course. But it's a nice replacement.

I wanted to do a manicure that reminded me of the sunset so I grabbed my Orly Orange Punch, Sinful Colors Pull Over and Revlon Kiss Me Coral.

I started with a base coat followed by two coats of Orange Punch on all my nails except my ring finger. On that one, I used two coats of Pull Over.

Next, I cut some thin strips of tape to place on my ring finger and topped that nail with the Orange Punch.

To finish, I painted Kiss Me Coral on all my nails to tone down the polish. Kiss Me Coral is a very sheer coral color so you could definitely still see the original color through it.

I did like this manicure. I loved the colors and conveyed exactly what I was hoping.

I'm slacking on new manicures but, luckily, I have a couple more still in my backlog. I've broken a different nail every week for the past three weeks! I'll get some more manis done this week so I don't get too far behind. Hope you all are doing great!

And welcome to my newest follower, Tammy!
